I was interested to read this article. It could have fairly dramatic ramifications on the Offshore Industry as a whole.

It’s always fascinated me why companies would choose to redomicile HQ’s in locations like Ireland, Switzerland and Luxembourg, when they could do so in the Cayman Islands, Bermuda or the Bahamas which is seemingly on the doorstep of the larger more established markets.

It seems as though the US is hellbent on reclaiming Taxes from Offshore / Expatriate Organisations, Institutions and Personnel particularly with news of the recent FATCA investigations.
