Singapore beats Hong Kong again-and it’s a good thing

As any lawyer in the IPO team of a Private Practice Firm, or in the Investment Banking Division of a bank in Hong Kong will tell you, IPO activity is still very high in Hong Kong.

A continued increase in trade, combined with a small number of lawyers wth the pre-requisite skill-set, has led to a number of high-profile banks and commodities trading companies struggling to find legal talent in the commodities area.

CML has seen a rise in the number of opportunities for derivatives and structured products lawyers over the past few weeks

CML were once again invited to sponsor the ALB Law Awards Friday evening and once again the night was a resounding success. Ben, Eunice, Xavier and Jen attended the event at the end of a few days of client and candidate meetings in Singapore. We are all working on a number of interesting opportunities and it was great to meet with our clients and candidates in both formal and informal environments.
