Our clients are the leading law firms in Bermuda and the Caribbean and we are looking to recruit experienced Trust & Estates Lawyers on their behalf. They are looking for specialist lawyers with ideally 4 or more years PQE. A candidate must have experience advising on the formation and operation of international and domestic trust structures as well as experience advising executors and trustees in estate matters.

Our clients advise on all aspects of commercial trust law including:
  • Unit trusts
  • Security arrangements
  • Off balance sheet vehicle share ownership
  • Performance/escrow arrangements
  • Transaction-specific purpose trusts
They advise institutional trustees - from the world's largest banks to family trust companies - on the following matters:
  • "Know your client" and "source of funds" regulatory regimes and anti-money laundering principles
  • Operating procedures and precedent trust documentation
  • Accepting, administering and winding-up a trust
  • When third parties outside the trust or beneficiaries within the trust make claims against the trust assets or against the trustee itself
  • Accepting the successor trusteeship of existing trusts or on retiring as trustee of continuing trusts
