In order to offset the expense and effort of relocating you and obtaining your work permit, most employers will require a minimum two year commitment in return. If you are tempted by the idea of working abroad, but are wary of committing to a long term contract, you may want to test the tropical waters with a 3-6 month temporary contract.

Working as a Temporary Contract Legal Secretary in the Cayman Islands generally does not mean moving from client to client for a week or two at a time, interspersed with periods without work. Most of our temporary Legal Secretaries remain with the same client for 3-6 months and the vast majority receive permanent offers.

An ideal candidate will normally have at least 2 years of experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Asset Finance, Capital Markets & Structured Finance, Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Compliance, Insolvency & Corporate Recovery, Insurance, Investment Funds, Private Client & International Trusts, Real Estate, Trademarks & Patents and Trusts.

To be considered, a candidate must have an independent and adventurous nature as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
