Singapore Jobs
Singapore is an island city state seated at the southern-most tip of the Malay Peninsula, between Malaysia and Indonesia. It may be the smallest nation in Southeast Asia but it has matured dramatically since its origins as a small fishing village. Hailed as the gateway to Southeast Asia, Singapore is now one the five wealthiest countries in the world in terms of GDP per capita and has attracted the largest global organizations to do business on its shores. Rated as the most business friendly economy in the world, Singapore attracts thousands of foreigners to work in the multinational corporations here. The official language is Malay, but English is widely used both in the financial districts and beyond.
There is never a lack of things to do in Singapore. Fantastic shopping, casinos and sporting venues lie within the varied architecture which mirrors the diverse population. China Town, Little India, temples, mosques and pre WWII buildings sit at close quarters to modern skyscrapers. Approximately 23% of the land is forest and nature reserves which also provide a respite from the city scene.
Due to its proximity to the equator, Singapore’s climate is warm and humid. Temperatures range from 22 C to 34 C with humidity varying throughout the day.
