Interview Tips - Offshore Job Interviews
An interview is often the final hurdle between a candidate and the best job offer of his or her life. You should bear in mind that, even if you are the only candidate on the planet and you have the perfect qualifications and experience on paper, there is still good reason to try your hardest to score points in the interview. Look at it this way: the more they like you, the more they will want you, and the more they will be willing to pay. The purpose of an interview is not just to get an offer, but to get the best offer the company is willing and able to make.
The vast majority of interviews for offshore roles are conducted by telephone, although webcam interviews are becoming increasingly common. Don't be fooled into thinking that a telephone interview requires any less planning, preparation or professionalism than a regular face-to-face interview. As many offshore firms perform only one interview, good preparation may be even more critical.
